Dean
Aspen
|
 | Dean's first experience
of theatre and the dramatic arts was during his time at school,
when he stepped in at the last minute to play a lead role in the
school production of Alan Ayckbourn's Confusions. The result of
this was that he developed a passion for performance. After leaving
high school Dean continued to study Drama and Theatre Studies A
Level at Cheadle
and Marple Sixth Form College, where he performed in numerous
productions, including some devised pieces.
During his time at college Dean got the chance to take part in
The National
Theatre Connections Programme, where he played Barry O'Donnell
in The Miracle by Lin Coghlan. The company were given the
chance to perform at The
Lowry in Salford Quays. It was from here the production had
even greater success and out of nearly seventy companies was chosen
to perform on the Olivier stage at The
National Theatre on London's South Bank. The experience of performing
on such a grand stage in front of over a thousand people enhanced
Dean's passion for theatre so much so that he decided to delay his
plans for university and take a year out in the hope of pursuing
further acting experience.
After performing in London, Dean was signed by an acting agency
and is currently auditioning for various film & television roles,
as well as working with northerngap.
He recently filmed for a new Granada Television drama series to
be broadcast in the autumn.
Dean is represented by Bloomfields
Management.
