Mercy
by Lin Coghlan
“It’s like the flood. Maybe we’re the only ones left… Maybe it’ll rain for a long time, and then, when it’s over, there’ll be just us.”
Deccy and Mac want to disappear. Cookie wants his Mum. Terry and Jean are running away together. Rory is just running. White dust is falling. Manchester is sinking and it is too late for regrets.
Mercy is an epic and visionary play in which a group
of mismatched characters are thrown together by decisions they
face as they leave a city ravaged by unexplained flood and fear.
